Rossmoor Early Music Society offers outstanding performances in the East Bay and brings a wealth of music and creativity to our community.
Here are some past events.

This 45-year-old a cappella choir sings the thrilling sacred and folk repertoire of Eastern Europe and Russia with composers such as Rachmaninoff, Bortniansky, and Shevchenko. They have sung in the soundtracks for several movies.

The Persian Music Ensemble is a community orchestra dedicated to Iran’s rich 6,000-year musical heritage who showcase this captivating ancient art form bringing it to new audiences.

Kitka is an American women’s vocal arts ensemble inspired by traditional songs and vocal techniques from Eastern Europe and Eurasia. award-winning professional touring ensemble known for its artistry, versatility and mastery.

In Bocca al Luppo
Bocca al Lupo’s concert, entitled “Mundus Inversus,” takes inspiration from iconic Medieval sources like the Roman de Fauvel (Gervais de Bus, 1310–1314) and the Carmina Burana, blending timeless melodies with newly-composed pieces to explore the chaos and disarray of our modern times.

In Other Words
“In Other Words,” is an ensemble specializing in western European, early sacred and secular a Capella vocal music. Singers, soprano Jennifer Ashworth, alto Lauren Carley and tenor Kevin Baum, have sung together for almost two decades in the Bay Area and abroad.

Thompsonia
Ballads and breakdowns from Cajun Louisiana and the Appalachian mountains. The Thompsons present some of the oldest songs and instrumentals from the Appalachian mountains and the Cajun bayous of southwest Louisiana.
